Jerry Shapiro has called to my attention that the link that I published might not have sent interested parties to the correct event. I agree with Jerry that the SBA messaging is a bit off and could be clearer.
The invitation I received from the SBA was for registering for the first or one of the first of a series of SBA events to give folks facts about government contracting. The event on August 6 is to meet the MA SBA staff and learn about at the MA Procurement Technical Assistance Center, which is staffed by folks who can counsel about SBA programs such as Woman Owned Small Business and HUBZone certification programs. The August 6 event registration may be found at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/meet-the-procurement-technical-assistance-centers-ptac-tickets-115343258792?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery.
I think that the invitation for the August 6 event was somehow conflated with the August 7 event, “Opening Doors To Federal Government Contracting,” which addresses a number of SBA programs such as Women–Owned, Small Business, Service Disabled, Veteran Owned, Small Business certifications. The August 7 event registration may be found at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/opening-doors-to-federal-government-contracting-tickets-114473934620?aff=ebdssbonlinesearch
